Rock and Shock family, it’s time for another round of guest announcements!
First we have John Amplas. Currently an acting teacher, John has also directed and acted on the stage, though it was his work with fellow Rock and Shock guest George Romero that cemented his spot in the hearts of horror fans worldwide. Cutting his teeth in 1977 playing the title character in the director’s “is he or isn’t he” vampire film, Martin, Amplas went on to work with Romero several more times in many different roles, both in front of and behind the camera, in films such as Dawn of the Dead, Knightriders, Creepshow and Day of the Dead.
John Kassir was last with us in 2009, and has been one of our most requested guests since. While he has acted on camera, it is his multifaceted medley of voices off camera that has provided John with years of success, supplying the sounds for dozens of characters both in television as well as video games. Of course, he gained iconic status when he created the voice of the Crypt Keeper for the Tales From the Crypt series. Horrifically humorous, Kassir gave the Crypt Keeper a tone immediately memorable from the time the show debuted in 1989 and continued for a decade through the tie-in films and animated series.
Please help us welcome these gentlemen to the show this October 16-18, and keep your eyes on our social media pages for more announcements very soon!
