She is undoubtedly most well known for her role as the teenage insomniac “Nancy Thompson” in Wes Cravens 1984 classic A Nightmare On Elm Street, a movie recognized by People Magazine as the “Fifth Most Popular Horror Film Of All Time.” Over the last 25 years, Langenkamp took over her famous role in two more Elm Street films: the very successful A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors and the critically acclaimed Wes Cravens New Nightmare. Heather also released a documentary last year “ I Am Nancy”. The focus is on Lagenkamp herself and her unique experience playing Nancy Thompson, Wes Cravens legendary teen heroine. She also starred in, executive produced, and narrated the 2010 documentary Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy.
