The Monster Squad holds a special place in the hearts of many horror fans. Some saw the family friendly fright flick as children and it opened the door to the world of all things scary (and funny). Some saw it for the first time as adults and were taken back to their youth watching Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein and the solo Universal monster movies. Over the years the film has been a bonding source, and there are adults who fell in love with the movie as kids watching with their family and friends who are now showing it to their own children. Since you all are part of our Rock and Shock family, we are thrilled to share these Monster Squad guests with you and hope you can make some new memories revolving around this timeless picture.
Stephen Macht has an instantly recognizable face and has been acting on screen since the sixties, and aside from playing Del in Monster Squad horror fans will know him from Graveyard Shift, Trancers 3-5 and Amityville: It’s About Time. Next we have Duncan Regehr, who is primarily a television actor known for his long stint on Zorro as well as V: The Series and Star Trek, both The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine, but it was his turn as Count Dracula in Monster Squad that spawned a whole new generation of vampire fans. Finally, there is Michael Reid MacKay, whose face may not be as instantly recognizable as Mr. Macht’s due to his many roles under makeup appliances, but has played unforgettable characters in Se7en, Sleepwalkers, Insidious: Chapter 3 and of course as The Mummy in Monster Squad.
Please join us in welcoming these fine actors to the Rock and Shock family this October 16-18 at the DCU Center and Worcester Palladium in Worcester, MA!
